TOOLS FOR HAPPIER LIVING TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions apply apply between you, the Client of this programme, and The Self Leadership Initiative Ltd, the owner and provider of the Tools for Happier Living Programme.

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully.

Acceptance of terms and conditions

  1. By completing the payment form for the Tools For Happier Living Programme, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions set out below. You will ensure that your employees, partners, agents, contractors, subcontractors and any other person attending the Workshop on your behalf shall comply with these Terms.

 

Booking and payment

  1. The fee for attending the programme will be as stated on the payment form for programme. Prices include VAT unless otherwise stated.
  2. Payments must be made in full at the point of registration in order to participate in the programme. Clients who state their interest in a programme but who have not paid will not secure a place.
  3. Payments will me made via our Paypal merchant. Clients wishing to make a direct BACS transfer can contact finance@thesli.co.uk to do so. Clients will receive a copy of their payment receipt / invoice after the completion of the transaction.
  4. The Self Leadership Initiative reserves the right to decline a participant’s payment and place on the programme, refunding in full. Acceptance of your booking will be made in writing along with the zoom link to access the session.
  5. The Self Leadership Initiative reserves the right to run price promotions, change prices and the service as it sees fit. Changes will be updated on the website.

 

Refunds

  1. All client cancellations must be made in writing to info@thesli.co.uk. The date on which the letter/email is received will determine the cancellation charges applicable. These charges are expressed as a percentage of the total programme price, and are as follows:
    • More than 14 days before the start date, 50% refunded
    • Less than 14 days before the start date 25% refunded
  1. Cancellations made immediately after booking (e.g. booking in error) can receive a full refund minus any transaction fees from Paypal (if applicable).
  2. The Self Leadership Initiative reserves the right to alter or cancel the programme. If this becomes necessary clients will receive a choice of:
    • Accepting altered programme dates / times
    • Withdrawing from the agreement and accepting a full refund
  1. Clients missing part of the full programme for any reason will not be refunded for sessions missed. They will have full access to the materials from the missed sessions in order to continue with their learning.
  2. If sessions cannot go ahead due to issues at The Self Leadership Initiative (e.g. loss of internet connection, illness etc) then clients will either be offered an alternative session date or a refund for that session (1/8th of the programme cost).

Liabilities

  1. Group coaching requires flexibility. For this reason the session outline must be taken as a guide of what will take place rather than a contractual obligation. Participant needs in the moment will determine the shape of each session.
  2. The Self Leadership Initiative does not accept responsibility or liability for death, bodily injury or illness caused to the client or any other person included in the booking in the course of a workshop or in transit thereto. Clients will be logging in from their remote locations and should ensure they do so from a safe location. Any claims shall be subject to English & Welsh law in respect of any question of liability or quantum, and all proceedings shall be within the exclusive domain of the English & Welsh courts.
  3. By booking a session clients acknowledge that the course will cover topics that could be sensitive for some participants – stress, mental health, self esteem etc. Clients recognise that The Self Leadership Initiative is not a mental health or therapy provider and that the programme will focus on best practice from positive psychology. By booking clients agree that The Self Leadership Initiative is not responsible for the client’s state of mental health.
  4. Clients acknowledge that participation on the course does not guarantee any specific happiness and wellbeing outcomes. The programme is designed to equip participants with tools and positive habits which are linked to happier lives if participants are able to consistently implement them alongside a balanced lifestyle. The Self Leadership Initiative does not accept liability, or provide refunds for, participants who do not experience significant changes in their happiness.

 

Your obligations

  1. It is the responsibility of the client to inform The Self Leadership Initiative whether it is necessary to make any special arrangements to aid access or participation. Clients can write to info@thesli.co.uk
  2. If clients act in any way which, in The Self Leadership Initiative’s Opinion, is likely to cause harm to any person on the programme then you will be required to leave the programme. SLI staff may use a warning system for minor issues and immediate removal for more serious behaviours. Clients who are removed from a programme due to misconduct will not have their payment refunded.
  3. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that they have a stable internet connection, the latest version of zoom and suitable video / audio equipment to participate in the sessions.
  4. By booking a place on the programme clients agree to make a commitment to attend, participate and – to the best of their ability- complete the homework tasks which have all been designed to improve the chance of positive programme outcomes.

 

Copyright of materials

  1. The Self Leadership Initiative will provide clients with supplementary materials to support their learning over the programme. Unless otherwise stated, the copyright for any such materials (including course notes, slides, articles and case studies) belongs to The Self Leadership Initiative and may not be reproduced in any form without our prior written consent/ Please email info@thesli.co.uk
  2. Clients may use such materials for personal or professional development purposes only and may not reproduce, publish or deal with such materials in any way for any commercial use.
  3. The Self Leadership Initiative reserves the right to change and update all published materials and programmes as seen fit.

 

Privacy and confidentiality

  1. Client details supplied at the point of booking are for the sole use of The Self Leadership Initiative and the Paypal merchant – these details will not be disclosed to any other parties.
  2. Clients wishing to join the programme and opt out of the Whatsapp group should write to info@thesli.co.uk
  3. Clients will be asked to answer a pre- and post-programme survey taking psychometric measures of wellbeing. Personalised results will be sent directly to the client and will not be shared with any third party. Results will be anonymised and collated with those of other clients to form group averages – these will contain no individually identifiable data and will be used in The Self Leadership Initiative’s marketing and quality assurance processes.
  4. In the first programme session all participants will have the opportunity to discuss and agree upon privacy and confidentiality ground rules within the group in order to create a brave space for sharing ideas whilst still feeling safe.

 

Photography

  1. The Self Leadership Initiative may wish to take screenshots of clients groups for the purposes of promoting future programmes. This will likely be at the end of a session so as not to disturb session content. The programme trainer will clearly notify all participants on the call – allowing people to leave the call or switch off their videos if they do not give consent to be in the picture.
  2. Clients may not photograph or video the programme.

Disputes

  1. The client must communicate any perceived failure in the performance of these terms and conditions as soon as they arise – giving The Self Leadership Initiative the opportunity to reach a satisfactory solution. Should this not be possible, you should make your complaint known to The Self Leadership Initiative in writing within 14 days of the completion of the programme.
  2. By completing an online booking, you are agreeing to accept all the above conditions. The person who completes the booking does so on behalf of all the individuals included on it, so that all are bound by the booking conditions.
